Hi! I'm Tom and I have annointed myself lead songwriter and vocalist of the project. I'll be playing rhythm guitar and a bit of banjo in the live band.
I've been releasing solo work as Tom John Hall and Normo Park, also in the band Papayér. I'm starting Fibs because I want to spread some joy in the best band in the world.

Ability to throw in a secondary instrument is a huge plus (weird and wonderful sounds welcome!), being up for some singing also a plus but neither are essential.
Songwriting
I have a bunch of songs which make up the bones of the first Fibs album, Forwards In Backwards Street, which we'll be refining and working out, but long term I'd love to write more collaboratively as a group.
Team
At the same time as starting Fibs, I want to build something (name TBC) out of the dormant Year of Glad collective, a project which raised a bunch of money over the pandemic years, released some great music, put on some memorable events and could do much more! We'll do label / management / booking for Fibs and our circle of other wonderful Derby-adjacent artists, and events & community stuff for the East Mids.
